Job Description:
The COBOL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications. The role involves collaborating with business analysts and technical teams to deliver reliable and efficient software solutions aligned with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in COBOL programming, DB2, and UNIX environments, with proven experience across the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain programs using COBOL, DB2, and UNIX.
- Conduct system analysis, design, and coding based on business requirements.
- Perform unit and integration testing to ensure software quality and accuracy.
- Provide production support and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system design and implementation.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed systems.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in COBOL/DB2 and UNIX programming, with strong analysis and design background.
- Knowledgeable in COBOL programming, DB2, and SQL.
- Familiar with Systems Analysis and Design methodologies and SDLC deliverables.
- Experience in Banking, Financial, or Life Insurance systems is a plus.
- Must be amenable to a hybrid work setup in BGC, Taguig.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php60, Php90,000.00 per month
