COBOL Developer

Location: BGC, Taguig (Hybrid Setup)

Job Description:

The COBOL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications. The role involves collaborating with business analysts and technical teams to deliver reliable and efficient software solutions aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in COBOL programming, DB2, and UNIX environments, with proven experience across the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain programs using COBOL, DB2, and UNIX.
  • Conduct system analysis, design, and coding based on business requirements.
  • Perform unit and integration testing to ensure software quality and accuracy.
  • Provide production support and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system design and implementation.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed systems.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in COBOL/DB2 and UNIX programming, with strong analysis and design background.
  • Knowledgeable in COBOL programming, DB2, and SQL.
  • Familiar with Systems Analysis and Design methodologies and SDLC deliverables.
  • Experience in Banking, Financial, or Life Insurance systems is a plus.
  • Must be amenable to a hybrid work setup in BGC, Taguig.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php60, Php90,000.00 per month
