HIRING - PURCHASING OFFICER FOR STAINLESS STEEL COMPANY (NOVALICHES AREA)

We are an established enterprise operating for almost 30 years based in Novaliches, Quezon City. We are a 100% Filipino-owned business, fabricating and manufacturing all kinds of stainless steel products in different parts of the country and abroad.

Position Details & Salary:

Position: Full-time Purchasing Officer

Starting salary: Php 25,000/month (up to Php 30,000 depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime required as needed)

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in stainless steel, construction, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of raw material sourcing, particularly stainless steel products and related fabrication supplies.
• Proven negotiation skills with suppliers, ensuring quality at competitive costs.
• Proficient in inventory management and monitoring material usage for production needs.
• Knowledgeable in government rules and organizational policies affecting procurement.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and ERP/purchasing systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Overtime required and must be willing to work permanently in Novaliches, Quezon City.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing function, from sourcing to order fulfillment, for stainless steel sheets, pipes, fittings, consumables, tools, and equipment.
• Consistently evaluate purchasing requirements and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the most competitive prices, favorable terms, and reliable lead times.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate supplier performance, reliability, and compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, and related teams to ensure material availability for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Check if inventory levels are sufficient for production needs and initiate timely reorders.
• Locate and evaluate potential suppliers through catalogs, online research, and industry networks; conduct vendor assessments when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and government regulations affecting procurement, importation, and supply chain activities.
• Review and improve purchasing systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier information for audit and reporting purposes.
• Reports directly to Operations Manager.
