The Digital Workspace Administration and Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless, secure, and productive digital environment for all employees. This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our core digital workspace platforms and tools, including but not limited to Microsoft 365, collaboration suites, communication platforms, and remote access solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach to empower our workforce with efficient and reliable digital tools.

What You Will Do:

  • Digital Workspace Administration:
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Azure AD, Intune/Endpoint Manager).
  • Administer, and provide consulting and guidance on Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service.
  • Manage user identities, licenses, groups, and access permissions across various digital platforms.
  • Implement and manage mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) policies to secure corporate data on mobile devices.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security of digital workspace applications, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching of digital workspace tools and related infrastructure.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Provide technical support for all digital workspace-related issues (hands-on, and by supervising a support team,) including connectivity, application functionality, user access, and data synchronization.
  • Respond to support requests via ticketing system, email, and phone, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems, escalating to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary.
  • Assist with user onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning/de-provisioning and data migration.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security best practices within the digital workspace, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access policies, and data loss prevention (DLP).
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and internal security policies.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of digital workspace configurations.
  • User Enablement & Documentation:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including knowledge base articles, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for digital workspace tools.
  • Conduct user training sessions and create training materials to enhance employee proficiency and adoption of digital tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and best practices to users.
  • Collaboration & Improvement:
  • Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., Network, Security, Infrastructure) to ensure seamless integration and operation of digital workspace solutions.
  • Participate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new digital workspace technologies and features.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for IT services and support processes.

What You Need to Have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role, with a strong focus on digital workspace technologies.
  • Proven experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, Intune).
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, Zendesk).
  • Experience with remote access technologies (e.g., VPN, VDI).
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks within Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) concepts.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
  • Basic understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Customer-centric approach with a commitment to providing excellent user support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, MS-900, MD-100, MD-101).
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience with other collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Google Workspace).
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and tools.
  • Experience with endpoint management solutions beyond Intune (e.g., SCCM, Jamf).
