Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Officer located in Batangas. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols, conducting accident investigations, providing safety training, and overseeing security measures. Daily tasks will include monitoring compliance with safety regulations, identifying hazards, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications

  • Directly reporting to General Manager for Cutech Philippines
  • In coordination with Human Resource Department
  • Develop Occupational Safety Programs for Company and Employees
  • Implement Health and Safety standard rules and regulation in all aspects of safety
  • Develop and implement Company Safety Health Protocol for all employees
  • Inspection of equipment in the job site to ensure proper safety procedures as per client satisfaction
  • Responsible for preparing Job Hazard Analysis and HSE Procedures required on the Project
  • Arrange immediate coordination in case any emergency in the Company and project site
  • Develop and implement Safety Code of Practice
  • Inspection of personal protection equipment (PPE)
  • Conduct Daily Toolbox Meetings
  • Compile Safety Programs
  • Practice safe working techniques
  • Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees
  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques
  • Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent
  • Identify hazardous waste and disposing of it correctly
  • Promote safety initiatives
  • Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance
  • Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management
  • Regularly inspect tools and equipment
  • Act as the immediate Focal for COVID-19 Health Programs
  • In-charge for Safety Orientation/Induction for onboarding newly hired personnel
  • In-compliance to applicable guidelines and reports in accordance with DOLE
  • Actively participate in the QHSE incident investigations and prepare required reports in consultation with management
  • Prepare QHSE documentation for clients/projects as per the requirements and in consultation Operations team
  • Undertake QHSE inspections internally and with third parties (contractors) as per the approved inspection program of the Company. Follows up on the preventive and/or corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitors the timely closing of the actions in coordination with other departments
  • Develops, facilitate, and review QHSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with the Operations Team
  • Record QHSE key performance indicators on a monthly basis and issue reports as necessary
  • Suggest and advise changes to ensure continuous improvement on any additional effective KPIs to be added in the system as part of continual improvement
