New Patient Coordinator

Job Overview:
The New Patient Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely processing and closure of open orders. This includes following up on pending determinations, managing end-of-day reports, and liaising with providers to ensure all notes and work statuses are completed. The role demands excellent organizational skills, proficiency in Excel, and clear communication in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and Follow Up on Pending Determinations:
- Monitor open orders in the order tracker and follow up on pending determinations.
- Close orders once a determination has been received.
- End-of-Day Report Processing:
- Review and process daily reports, typically containing 60–80 patient records, ensuring all necessary actions are taken.
- Coordinate Open Notes and Work Status:
- Follow up with providers until all open notes and work statuses are completed and closed.
- Authorization Requests:
- Submit requests for extensions and revised authorizations as necessary.
- Email Communication:
- Respond to all emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain effective communication with the team, providers, and other stakeholders.
- Departmental Support:
- Provide assistance across the department as needed, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage data and reports effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Team player, willing to assist wherever needed.
Preferred (but not required):
- Spanish language skills are not required but may be beneficial.
