Job Title: Mining Engineer

Location: Clark, Pampanga OFFICE/SITE: Sta. Cruz, Zambales / MABANGLIT CABANGAN ZAMBALES.

Job Summary

The Mining Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of minerals. This role involves designing mine layouts, optimizing production methods, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mine Planning & Design

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term mine plans.
  • Design pit layouts, haul roads, and infrastructure for optimal ore recovery.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for mining projects.

2. Operations & Production

  • Supervise drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling activities.
  • Monitor daily production to meet targets and quality standards.
  • Implement measures to maximize productivity and minimize costs.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to the Philippine Mining Act, DENR, and DOLE regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of safety among all site personnel.

4. Technical & Geological Coordination

  • Work closely with geologists to assess ore reserves and optimize extraction methods.
  • Oversee sampling, grade control, and quality assurance processes.
  • Analyze geological data to support operational decisions.

5. Environmental Management

  • Implement environmental protection measures and rehabilitation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and reporting requirements.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
  • Maintain updated records of mine plans, production data, and cost tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
  • Must be a Licensed Mining Engineer in the Philippines (PRC Registered).
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in mining operations (open-pit or underground).
  • Strong knowledge of mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Minesight, AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with Philippine mining laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in remote mining locations and under pressure.

Work Conditions

  • Field-based position in mining site with periodic office work.
  • May require extended hours, weekends, and rotation schedules.
  • Exposure to outdoor and mining environments.

Pay: From Php35,000.00 per month
