About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer I to join our team at DD Foods Inc' in Iloilo City, Iloilo. As a Purchasing Officer I, you will play a crucial role in our Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics operations, focusing on Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory management. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of our growing company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and other supplies required for production
  2. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, terms, and delivery schedules
  3. Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to ensure timely replenishment
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production requirements and forecast demand
  5. Identify and evaluate new suppliers, leveraging your market knowledge to optimise the supply chain
  6. Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, and invoices
  7. Assist in the implementation of procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency

What we're looking for

  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role within the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry
  2. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  4. Proficiency in inventory management and demand forecasting
  5. Working knowledge of procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  6. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  7. Willingness to travel regularly on a weekly basis for supplier sourcing and relationship management
