What you'll be doing

  1. Assist in the procurement of raw materials, components, and other supplies required for production
  2. Monitor and track inventory levels, identify any stock shortages or surpluses, and liaise with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels
  3. Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement-related documentation
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production needs and ensure the timely delivery of materials
  5. Perform data entry, maintain accurate records, and generate reports related to purchasing and inventory activities
  6. Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers, including conducting market research and price comparisons
  7. Provide administrative support to the Purchasing team as needed

What we're looking for

  1. At least 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or inventory management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
  2. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  4. Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
  5. Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies in data
  6. Adaptability and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
