Location: Any CS Branch - Angeles, Mabalacat, Makati, Ortigas, Tarlac, Davao, Cebu

Job Description:

As a senior accountant, you are at the core of our relationship with our clients—getting them the information they need to make smart decisions for their business. And you'll be right there with them (virtually, of course), not hiding in a cubicle somewhere. So you'll get to know them personally and individually and understand what makes them (and their businesses) tick. Ultimately, it'll be your responsibility to ensure that the company always does our best to help our clients' goals become reality

Key Responsibilities:

● Leading and Mentoring the Team: Manage and guide staff accountants and bookkeepers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and professional growth.

● Overseeing Client Financials: Handle month-end reviews, account reconciliations, journal entries, and other financial adjustments for accounts to maintain accurate and up-to-date client financial records.

● Delivering Client Insights and Reporting: Generate clear and actionable monthly or quarterly dashboards and provide clients with insights into their financial health.

● Leveraging Technology for Efficiency: Utilize cloud-based accounting systems and web-based tools for accounts payable, reporting, payroll, and client communications. Provide training to clients and team members on these systems as needed.

● Ensuring Exceptional Client Service: Respond promptly to client inquiries, assist with technical issues, and conduct periodic service reviews to align with client goals and expectations.

● Maintaining Quality Standards: Perform quality assurance checks on junior staff deliverables to uphold the accuracy and integrity of client work.

Qualifications and Experience:

● Extensive knowledge of Balance Sheet and Income (P&L) statement accounts and categorization

● Provides guidance and mentorship to junior accountants

● Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP)

● Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

● Demonstrated expertise in analyzing complex financial data is required.

● Accuracy and precision are essential to this role. Attention to detail is paramount to avoid typographical errors or other negligent oversights in one's work.

● A results-oriented individual who consistently meets or surpasses performance goals is essential for success in this role.

● Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously and manage tasks efficiently to achieve results.

● This individual values and excels within a cooperative team setting, understanding the importance of collective objectives and supportive relationships.

● Maintain the highest level of discretion and ensure the confidentiality and protection of clients' private and sensitive information at all times.

● Possesses a proactive approach and identifies process gaps, recommending potential improvements.

● We are seeking candidates with experience using cloud-based accounting platforms, with a strong preference for Xero, as it is our primary system. Experience with QBO is also beneficial.

● Experience with project, task, or practice management software is essential, with a preference for Canopy. Candidates should be comfortable independently tracking their workload and documenting completed tasks. This skill should come naturally to the ideal applicant.

● Proficient in Google Suite and adept at using macOS.

● Bachelor's Degree

● Public Accounting Experience

● Public accounting experience, i.e., working at a CPA firm or similar experience, handling multiple clients at one time, within one company, is a strict, non-negotiable requirement. Within our firm, a senior accountant reviews about 25 clients and directly manages around 50%. 

● We would consider a 30-day notice period for the right candidate.

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:
