Role Summary:

We are seeking a strategic, assertive, and execution-focused Alternative Distribution & Partnerships Manager to help operationalize and grow the desk at MAAGAP Insurance Inc. This role goes beyond partner management and it will require internal influence, process discipline, and cross-functional coordination to clear blockers and drive results.

The candidate will work directly with the Head of Alternative Distribution & Partnerships to lead internal alignment, manage support resources, and ensure the timely delivery of projects across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help reposition the desk from a transactional sales unit to a strategic, channel-led growth driver.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on the desk's scope, objectives, and value proposition.
  • Prepare internal communications and materials that clarify partnerships strategy and impact.

Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Serve as the point person for coordinating with Legal, Finance, Marketing, IT, and Underwriting.
  • Escalate and track requests to ensure timely feedback, approvals, and outputs.
  • Drive accountability in cross-department initiatives, flagging delays and escalating when needed.

Operational Management & Execution Discipline

  • Oversee execution of tasks by support and servicing teams, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Create systems and checklists to reduce dropped tasks, improve follow-through, and increase transparency.
  • Institute weekly reviews or status updates to keep all players aligned and accountable.

Underwriting & Product Development Support

  • Coordinate with Underwriting to accelerate movement on delayed products.
  • Draft memos or cases to support product launches (especially for key lines like PA).
  • Track timelines and develop fallback plans to keep commitments to external partners.

Internal Advocacy & Change Management

  • Work with leadership to gain buy-in for cost items, new initiatives, and tech integrations.
  • Translate desk needs into business cases with clear ROI or strategic value.
  • Help manage upwards to ensure initiatives are seen, supported, and resourced appropriately.

CRM, Data & Campaign Integration

  • Maintain oversight of HubSpot SalesHub performance; ensure pipeline, lead attribution, and partner engagement tracking are up to date.
  • Work closely with digital marketing to align lead gen, campaign execution, and CRM integration.
  • Suggest improvements to reporting, dashboards, and data visibility.

People & Capability Management

  • Identify skill mismatches or training gaps within the desk and propose solutions.
  • Coach and support junior team members; refine roles and SOPs as needed.
  • Help assess and hire future talent aligned with the desk's evolving needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 4–6 years of experience in partnership management, operations, marketing, or business development.
  • Strong experience working cross-functionally with senior leadership and multiple departments.
  • Proven success navigating complex organizations to get things done.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems (especially HubSpot) and digital marketing concepts.
  • Insurance, fintech, or startup experience is preferred but not required.
