Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Sourcing:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers for food, beverages, kitchen equipment, cleaning supplies, and other restaurant needs.
  • Negotiate prices, credit terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain a list of reliable suppliers and develop strong vendor relationships.

Inventory & Ordering:

  • Monitor daily/weekly stock levels and coordinate with the Chef, Bar Manager, and Operations for purchase requirements.
  • Place orders based on par levels, menu requirements, and special events.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and minimize waste.

Quality Assurance:

  • Inspect deliveries to ensure quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications.
  • Report and resolve issues related to substandard or wrong deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Cost Control:

  • Track purchasing costs and identify opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
  • Assist management in budgeting and cost analysis.
  • Prepare purchasing reports for management review.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, supplier contracts, and price comparisons.
  • Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and legal requirements.
  • CCoordinate with accounting and finance for timely payment processing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of purchasing experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or F&B industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food products, suppliers, and restaurant operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and inventory systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
