JOB SUMMARY

The Procurement Engineer under Networks and Retail Supplies Department is responsible for the creation of contracts, execution and analysis of category plans and strategies to maximize financial and operational performance while minimizing exposure to risks on the following areas but not limited to:

  • Sub-Transmission lines
  • Distribution lines
  • Substation
  • Power System Protection
  • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
  • Substation and Distribution Metering,
  • Electrical-Mechanical-Chemical Testing
  • System Control

He/she supports the Head of Networks and Retail Supplies in carrying out the procurement process based on supply chain policies, guidelines and procedures.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and execute category plans and strategies
  • Facilitates contract creation, execution, and analysis for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk
  • Contract Management
  • Selection of Vendors
  • Facilitates the Evaluation of bids / tender of vendors
  • Validation and releasing of Purchase Order
  • Systematic review of vendor performance
  • Validation and releasing of Purchase Order
  • Performs market research of vendors, market condition, industry trend, and competitive price level of services
  • Negotiates contract terms and conditions
  • Negotiates contract rates/prices
  • Collaborates with various offices in the implementation of Company Policies and Guidelines on Supply Chain Management
  • Participates in the vendor accreditation activities
  • Supports and participates in the quality management process and programs of the Supply Chain Management
  • Execution of effective and efficient procurement process of all core services of One MERALCO.
  • Execution of sustainable supply chain by integrating an environmentally and financially viable practices in acquiring products and services of the company. Implement the use of sustainable products and ensure adherence to the Sustainability advocacy of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a Licensed Electrical Engineer
  • Newly Licensed Engineers are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to collaborate with other offices, business units of the organization, organizing and planning exercises and/or horizontal join effort activities
  • Demonstrated skill in creating and maintaining database and working with spreadsheets and complex models
  • Has good business communication skills
  • Preferable with progressive experience in supply chain management roles
  • Willing to work onsite (Ortigas, Pasig City)
  • Amenable to work on a fixed-term contract
