Responsibility Summary:

Responsible for planning, sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials and services required for construction projects. Ensures cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, accurate documentation, and compliance with project standards while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Activities Performed / Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares the Procurement Plan for assigned projects.
  • Sources and procures infrastructure-specific materials (e.g., aggregates, steel, concrete, geotextiles, heavy equipment).
  • Evaluates Canvass Sheets and supplier proposals.
  • Issues RFQs/RFPs, evaluates bids, and negotiates the best contract terms and pricing.
  • Processes supplier product approvals and accreditation documents.
  • Manages Purchase Orders and/or contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are met.
  • Ensures all deliverables are completed on time and aligned with project requirements.
  • Collaborates with project engineers and site teams to confirm material needs and lead times.
  • Ensures compliance with construction standards and contractual obligations.
  • Monitors procurement schedules according to the project's critical path.
  • Conducts periodic evaluation of supplier performance, focusing on quality, safety, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintains accurate records of suppliers, contracts, and purchased materials.
  • Coordinates with logistics teams to manage the transportation of materials and equipment.
  • Identifies procurement risks including cost changes, supply delays, and regulatory constraints.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of any related course (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, etc.).
  • With or without experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Expertise in basic Windows applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • With at least 1 year of experience in a construction-setting procurement role (preferred but not required).
