Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Supervision and Management:
  • Overseeing and coordinating the daily activities and performance of the housekeeping team.
  • Creating and managing staff work schedules and assigning tasks and areas to housekeepers.
  • Training new staff members on cleaning protocols, equipment use, and safety procedures.
  • Motivating the team and resolving any issues or conflicts that arise on the job.
  • Quality Control and Standards:
  • Conducting regular inspections of rooms, common areas (lobbies, hallways, lounge areas), and facilities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance meet established standards.
  • Developing and implementing cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain high hygiene and tidiness standards.
  • Inventory and Supply Management:
  • Monitoring and managing inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.
  • Ordering new stock and issuing necessary supplies and equipment to the staff.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment.
  • Guest/Customer Service and Relations:
  • Responding to and resolving customer complaints or special requests related to housekeeping services in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with other departments (e.g., front desk, maintenance) to address facility needs or guest issues.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensuring all staff comply with health, safety, and sanitation policies and regulations (including proper use of chemicals and PPE).
  • Preparing reports on departmental activities, staff performance, and resource utilization for management.
