Senior Technical Engineer

Position Overview:

The Senior Technical Engineer is tasked to design, plan and implement the technical projects and execute the company's after-sales commitments to the clients. He/she is also expected to have a higher level of expertise to at least one of the branches of the Technical Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Senior TE for Construction:

· Develops Execution Plan

Reviews in detail the project design prepared by the Design Engineers. He carefully inspects all drawings, designs and bill of materials (BOM) before the project is implemented. He plans materials delivery and manpower schedules to ensure smooth flow of work.

· Oversees Construction Processes

He oversees all the different processes in a construction project. He is expected to be subject-matter expert and coordinates with the General Services Officer (GSO) to make sure that all legal regulations are followed. He understands all the technical compliances that has legal implications in contract to prevent project delays, support all construction workers, and actively drive projects to completion. Ensures implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) program of the company in every technical-related activity performed by staff and contractors.

· Manages Construction Projects

He brings specific knowledge to construction projects, such as cost control, inventory management and project scheduling. He refers to project schedules to make sure quality work is done on time. When needed, he discusses and create solutions for client representatives. He eliminates disagreements in the field and misunderstandings about expected work outcomes.

· Drafts Technical Support Documents

He keeps up-to-date logs, estimates, change orders, vendor forms, and surveys with different software is a key role of construction engineers. He identifies and spots technical problems in the construction process. If necessary, he secures more materials to keep construction going.

· Communicates with Team Leadership

He conducts regular meetings with all parties involved in a construction project. Part of their job is to provide necessary status updates to Key Account Managers and respond to questions from customers. Furthermore, he regularly assesses all projects to suggest different cost-saving techniques.

Senior TE for Design and Innovation:

· Conduct research work searching for new products and technologies that may be beneficial to company and client needs. This may include testing, analyzing, and development of proof-of concepts / pilot projects

• Review specifications and recommend engineering design and changes on requested components to achieve design objectives
• Perform computer simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency (i.e. PVSyst, Helioscope, HOMER Pro)
• Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components, and other renewable energy systems
• Create electrical plans (i.e. single-line diagrams, PV layout, or connection diagrams) for PV systems and/or other RE systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Design or coordinate design of photovoltaic (PV) systems and other RE systems, including system components, as per required by the client
• Provide technical assistance to requirements and queries of the clients
• Provide technical assistance to Marketing and Sales during marketing events and client presentations
• Manage and supervise project implementation according to standard installation and construction procedures
• Troubleshoot technical issues and concerns
• Ensures implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) program of the company in every technical-related activity performed by staff and contractors
• Perform other tasks that will be assigned from time to time
• Comply with quality processes and procedures in performing assigned tasks

Senior TE for After-sales & Maintenance:

· Preventive Maintenance

Ensures that the terms and conditions of the preventive maintenance agreements with clients are complied with. He/she responsible for scheduling site visits to perform preventive maintenance, coordinating with the clients, and assigning and preparing the manpower that would perform the job. The TE is responsible providing feedback to the client regarding the results of the preventive maintenance activity. He/she is also responsible for recommending replacement of defective equipment, removing old equipment and installing new equipment as needed.

· Repairs and Maintenance

It is the TE's responsibility to ensure faulty equipment are repaired or replaced as timely as possible. The TE is responsible for coordinating with the client contact person to initially assess and possibly remotely troubleshoot the problem. The TE is tasked to lead and/or coordinate troubleshooting activities and provide recommended repair and/or replacement works. The TE would commonly be responsible for ordering and installing replacement parts and equipment. The TE shall also make recommendation for any upgrades or changes to established systems to improve efficiency or prolong the life of the system/equipment. The TE is responsible for scheduling site visits for troubleshooting activities and repair/rectification works as needed, and coordinating such schedules to the client.

· Prepare Regular Reports

Prepares reports of preventive maintenance visits, incident reports, and/or service reports for such activities conducted. H/she communicates these reports to designated customer representatives and may be required to explain variances or deviations as needed.

Safety Responsibilities:

· Co-operate with team leader / manager in meeting health and safety requirements

· Carry out/assist with emergency procedures when required

Qualifications:

· Candidate must possess at least Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Electrical Engineer

· At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field

· With COSH Certificate

· With strong analytical and leadership skills so they can solve technical engineering challenges

· Possesses the following skills/proficiency:

• Use of Various Design Software – Advanced to Expert
• Research Skills and Design/BOM creation – Advanced to Expert
• Troubleshooting, Maintenance, and Testing and Commissioning – Advanced to Expert
• Project/Task Management, Organizational, Leadership Skills – Advanced

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40, Php50,000.00 per month
