- General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, which is the master document of all financial transactions. This includes posting transactions, categorizing records (e.g., assets, liabilities, expenses), and ensuring the ledger is accurate.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Handle invoices, process payments to vendors (accounts payable), and manage incoming payments from customers (accounts receivable).
- Bank and Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure balances are correct and to identify any discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. They also create expense reports and other financial analyses for management.
- Payroll and Tax Assistance: Support payroll processing and assist in the preparation of tax documents and returns.
