About the role

AQUADYSINC is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Quezon City Metro Manila. This is a full-time position responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, and visitors on our construction sites, with a specific focus on painting projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Implementing and monitoring safety procedures, policies, and best practices across all painting activities
  • Providing safety training and guidance to employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety awareness
  • Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and taking corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to safety performance and initiatives
  • Collaborating with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the construction sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety targets
  • A relevant degree or certification in occupational health and safety, or a related field
