Job description

  • Plan, prepare and implement OHS policies and programs as required by law.
  • Advise and lead employees on various safety related matters.
  • Review existing policies and safety procedures.
  • Conduct tool box meeting.
  • Conduct risk assessment and propose control measures.
  • Enforce preventive measures.
  • Oversee workplace installation, repair and any other work that is exposed to risk.
  • Prepare and process necessary permits in the workplace.
  • Record, investigate and provide a report for incident that is related to safety.
  • Regularly conduct safety awareness seminar/training to all employee.
  • Plan and conduct different safety drills and emergency evacuation for the company.
  • Work with HR in preparation & submission of mandatory safety reports to DOLE.
  • Conduct safety orientation on new employee.
  • Assist project staff in preparation of safety documents required by client.
  • Recording and safekeeping of all safety & health related documents.
  • Regularly report to project manager/top management all related safety matters.
  • Monitor and record number of safe manhours.

Qualification:

  • Candidate must have a certificate of 40-hrs. Construction Occupational Safety & Health Training course as prescribed by DOLE.
  • Must have at least (3) years of relevant experience in Construction occupational safety and health.
  • Excellent knowledge of government policies and procedures for occupational safety & health.
  • Experience with writing OSH program.
  • Must be willing to assign in different locations.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present and explain safety and health topics.
  • Computer literate & proficient in MS office.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
