Job Overview

We are searching for engaging and courteous Baristas who is passionate about food and beverage preparation and education. The Barista will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. The Barista will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.

To succeed as a barista, one should be committed to providing customers with excellent service and should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare, cook and present dishes according to coffee shop standards.
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages (e.g., espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, tea, smoothies).
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control for consistent quality.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment.
• Greet customers warmly and take accurate orders.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items.
• Address customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the café.
• Establish strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Gather feedback from customers regarding product preferences, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality, considering taste, texture, and appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the coffee shop and kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Keep work areas, counters, and equipment clean and sanitized at all times.
• Wash utensils, cups, and other café tools as needed.
• Follow food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP or local guidelines).
• Assist in inventory management to minimize waste and overstocking.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
• Report low stock or damaged goods to the immediate supervisor.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately.
• Handle cash, card, and mobile payments securely.
• Coordinate with colleagues for smooth operations during peak hours.
• Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards in terms of presentation, portion size, and taste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Coordinate with the Accounting Specialist for request and approval of the request.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
• Follow company policies, dress code, and grooming standards.
• Must perform other tasks that management may assign.

Job Specifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service for at least 1 year.

· Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.

· Exceptional listening and communication skills.

· Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.

· Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

· A polite, engaging pleasing personality.

· Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.

· Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.

· Willing to be assigned at Sanciangko, Colon, Cebu and can start ASAP.
