The Marketing Assistant's role is to assist the Relationship Manager in their marketing efforts to generate new accounts as well as the overall handling of accounts under the RM portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assists the Relationship Manager on the ff:

  • Generate loan portfolio and revenues based on agreed / committed goals
  • Acquire, build and maintain new and existing account relationships
  • Formulate and present innovative financial solutions to meet the needs of customers
  • Account/Portfolio Management ensuring compliance to regulatory & internal policies and credit quality
  • Service customer requirements through proper & timely processing of daily transactions (i.e. new loan bookings, loan roll-overs, interest/principal payments, liquidation of trust receipts, Letters of Credit opening & other booking instructions)
  • Perform the role of a liason officer (between customer & various operating units of the Bank) in handling credit related transactions.
  • Comply with credit policies, operational procedures, & standard processes at all times
  • Assist in the monitoring each account
  • Comply with the prescribed checklist & procedures of other operating units to ensure complete documentation
  • Observe established operational controls & procedures, as well as complying with the Bank's policies & regulatory issuances at all times
  • Handle timely & prompt collection of maturing principal & interest on loans & trust receipts
  • Ensure that all documentary requirements (related to credit facilities, collateral) are complete & in order
  • Prepare various reports for Management and MIS purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any business-related course
  • 1-2 years experience as a Marketing Assistant in the banking industry preferably under commercial banking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Customer-service oriented
