Marketing Assistant
to support our Marketing and Business Development initiatives.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a
full-time, on-site, entry-level role
based in our Makati office.

The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Business Development team to execute marketing campaigns, support content creation, manage social media channels, assist with events, and ensure consistent communication that reflects the WIMAS brand.

You will play an important part in promoting our programs, engaging our community, and elevating WIMAS' presence across the maritime industry.

DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

  • Assist in creating, scheduling, and posting content across WIMAS social media platforms.
  • Monitor page insights, engagement metrics, and audience behavior.
  • Respond to inquiries, comments, and messages professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Support in developing content calendars and executing social media strategies.

CONTENT CREATION & BRANDING

  • Draft captions, newsletters, marketing copies, and other promotional materials.
  • Assist in producing multimedia content (photos/videos) for campaigns and events.
  • Ensure all materials align with WIMAS brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate with designers or external partners as needed.

CAMPAIGN & MARKETING SUPPORT

  • Support marketing campaigns for training programs, certifications, and partnerships.
  • Conduct basic market research and competitor analysis.
  • Help prepare presentations, brochures, and marketing collaterals.
  • Track the performance of ongoing campaigns and prepare simple reports.

EVENTS & CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

  • Assist in planning and coordinating WIMAS events, seminars, and client engagements.
  • Support onsite operations during events (registration, documentation, logistics).
  • Coordinate with internal teams for announcements and corporate communications.
  • Maintain and update the contact database and mailing lists.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Preferably with
    1–2 years of experience
    in marketing or related functions.
  • Strong writing, communication, and content creation skills.
  • Familiarity with social media management and basic analytics.
  • Experience in Canva, basic video/photo editing, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Creative mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
