Key responsibilities

  • Employee relations: Serving as a consultant to management on people matters and coaching them on how to handle employee issues.
  • Business acumen: Acting as a bridge between the HR department and the business unit, translating HR needs into business language and vice versa.

Education and experience

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field.
  • Years of experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in traditional HR roles is often necessary, with senior roles requiring 5-10+ years of experience, often in a leadership capacity.
