ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Prepare individual, corporate (C & S), partnership, nonprofit, trust, estate, and gift tax returns
• Handle complex tax prep, including multi-state, consolidated, and international filings
• Conduct year-end accounting cleanup and retained earnings analysis
• Support tax planning, quarterly estimates, and projections for businesses and high-net-worth individuals
• Respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries
• Conduct tax research and document findings
• Manage deadlines and deliverables in line with client and team expectations
• Communicate progress with managers and partners
• Stay current on federal, state, and local tax laws and updates

ABOUT YOU:

• Minimum 3+ years of solid accounting experience
  , including
  month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Strong interest in tax work, especially business returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1041)
• Skilled in working with complex or disorganized books - able to prepare/review trial balances, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy before tax preparation
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Leadership potential - able to mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth
• Seeking a long-term opportunity with room to grow within the firm
