About the role

Reporting to the HR Manager, this HR Officer role is a full-time position based in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing generalist HR support and consulting services to the Southern Arms Corporation' team, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing end-to-end HR support, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy administration
  • Assisting with the design and implementation of HR initiatives, programmes, and strategies to support the company's objectives
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR data, ensuring compliance with relevant employment legislation
  • Advising managers and employees on HR-related matters, acting as a trusted business partner
  • Coordinating and facilitating training and development opportunities for employees
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a consultancy or professional services environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in HR systems and technologies, including HRIS and applicant tracking software
