Job Description: Local Junior Procurement Officer (Cebu)Position Summary

The Local Junior Procurement Officer will support the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely delivery of construction materials for projects in Cebu. This role is suited for someone with a working knowledge of construction materials and the local supplier market. The position focuses on handling urgent requirements, assisting with vendor management, and ensuring accurate documentation to support project operations.

Preferably with motorbike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Support
  • Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials, tools, and supplies as requested by project sites.
  • Handle urgent or small-scale procurement tasks to avoid project delays.
  • Obtain quotations and compare prices to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Vendor Coordination
  • Assist in identifying and coordinating with reliable local suppliers in Cebu.
  • Maintain good communication with vendors to follow up on pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Report supplier performance issues to the Procurement Officer/Manager.
  • Logistics & Delivery Follow-up
  • Track and monitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time and in good condition.
  • Coordinate with site teams for delivery schedules and urgent needs.
  • Assist in resolving minor issues related to delivery delays or material quality.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and file purchase requests, quotations, purchase orders, and receipts.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities are documented clearly and accurately.
  • Submit updates and reports to the Procurement Officer/Manager for review.

Qualifications

  • At least 1–2 years of work experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply-related tasks (construction industry preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials and local Cebu supplier networks.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under time-sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and basic record-keeping.
  • Honest, reliable, and willing to learn and grow in the role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php21,000.00 per month
