Job Summary:

The Forklift Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role ensures that all forklifts are in good working condition, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency in warehouse. The technician will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and repair machinery as needed.

  1. Conduct daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections on forklifts, ensuring they are safe and fully functional.

  2. Check essential systems such as the battery, tires, hydraulic system, brakes, lights, controls, and safety features.

  3. Document inspection findings, including identifying issues that require immediate attention.

  4. Report any mechanical problems to immediate head to ensure quick resolution.

  5. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts.

  6. Inspect forklifts for wear and tear and identify safety concerns.

  7. Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, including oil top up, brake checks, tire repairs, and general service.

  8. Perform scheduled maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations.

  9. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.

  10. Provide on-site technical support to operators, offering guidance on safe forklift operation.

  11. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to address equipment downtime.

  12. Oversee the inventory of replacement parts and tools for forklift repairs.

  13. Perform emergency repairs during shifts to minimize operational disruptions.

  14. Complete daily logs to document the status of each forklift, highlighting any issues or required follow-up.

  15. Must be willing to take on any additional tasks or assignments as directed by management to support the operation of the facility. This could include assisting other departments, supporting special projects, or helping with tasks outside regular duties when needed.

  16. Observe 5S (Sort, Systematize, Sweep, Standardize, Self-Discipline) and CLAYGO (Clean-As-You-Go) at all times to maintain the facilities clean and presentable.

Qualification:

1. At least college level or high school graduate

  1. 1-2 years of working experience as Forklift Technician in electric powered forklift.

  2. Vocational training in mechanics is a significant advantage.

  3. Ability to learn and follow maintenance procedures.

  4. Understanding the importance of safe equipment operation.

  5. Other task assigns by the immediate head.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php16, Php17,000.00 per month
