Job Description:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of various heavy equipment and machinery used in construction, logistics, and industrial operations. The role ensures that equipment is in optimal working condition to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, forklifts, dump trucks, and related machinery.

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and adjustments in line with manufacturer's specifications and company standards.

Conduct overhauls and component replacements (e.g., engines, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical systems).

Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation of all repair and maintenance activities.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of tools, equipment, and protective gear.

Collaborate with the Service Manager and After Sales team for efficient scheduling of repairs and parts requisitions.

Provide technical support and advice to operators on proper machine care and usage.

Assist in training junior mechanics or apprentices when necessary.

Qualifications:

Graduate of Technical/Vocational course in Automotive or Heavy Equipment Servicing.

Holder of TESDA NC II (or higher) in Heavy Equipment Servicing/Automotive Servicing.

2 to 4 years of proven work experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in dealership, construction, or industrial setting.

Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems of heavy machinery.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools, power tools, and repair equipment.

Physically fit and able to work in challenging environments.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a high level of safety awareness.

Willing to work extended hours or on-call schedules when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
