Job Summary:

A a Civil Engineer within the Technical and Operations Group, you will play a dual role involving both engineering project management and property management. Your responsibilities include overseeing the design, development, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the technical operations of assigned properties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Oversight & Project Management

  • Conduct feasibility studies and review civil engineering designs.
  • Ensure projects comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare BOQs, submit permits, and liaise with government agencies.
  • Oversee construction activities, contractor performance, and resolve site issues.
  • Prepare project reports, documentations, and audits.

2. Property Turnover

  • Inspect properties during handover; address defects and ensure completeness of turnover documents.
  • Coordinate with developers to meet statutory requirements like occupancy permits.
  • Monitor post-handover defects and manage warranty claims.

3. Property Management

  • Supervise on-site technical staff and ensure efficient operation of building facilities.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain tenant relations and ensure timely response to complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and renewals of permits.
  • Coordinate with contractors and evaluate their performance.

4. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, asset inventories, and service history.
  • Prepare technical reports, inspection memos, and management updates.

5. Coordination & Support

  • Collaborate with property managers and other teams on engineering input for tenant concerns, fit-outs, and operational issues.
