Job Summary:

The Social Media Moderator is responsible for monitoring, managing, and safeguarding the online communities of the company's social media platforms. This role ensures that all content, discussions, and interactions remain respectful, brand-appropriate, and aligned with company policies. The Social Media Moderator plays a key role in protecting the brand's reputation, enhancing audience engagement, and providing timely support to followers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor comments, messages, posts, and user-generated content across all social media platforms.
  • Assist in managing crisis communication and online reputation when required.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the marketing team regarding community trends, frequently asked questions, and overall sentiment.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and ethical standards.
  • Support the creation of a safe and positive online community experience for followers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience in social media management, customer service, or community moderation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling sensitive issues or challenging users.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify inappropriate or harmful content quickly.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, or holidays if required.
  • Know how to use CANVA
