Job Summary:
The Junior HR Associate provides day-to-day support in various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, timekeeping, and administrative tasks. The role helps ensure smooth HR operations to support store and head office personnel in the retail and beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews for frontliners (e.g., Beauty Advisors, Sales Associates) and office staff.
- Coordinate with hiring managers for interview schedules and feedback.
- Prepare pre-employment requirements and ensure completion before onboarding.
- Facilitate orientation and smooth onboarding of new hires.
2. Timekeeping & Attendance
- Monitor daily time records of store and office employees.
- Coordinate with store supervisors to validate attendance and leave reports.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related attendance reports.
3. Employee Engagement & Relations
- Support in implementing employee engagement activities and company events.
- Help address basic employee concerns and escalate issues to HR Supervisor as needed.
- Assist in the documentation of disciplinary actions and other employee relations matters.
4. HR Administration
- Maintain and update employee 201 files and HR databases.
- Prepare certificates (e.g., COE), memos, and other HR documents.
- Support compliance with company policies, labor laws, and company standards.
5. Other Duties
- Provide assistance in training coordination and logistics.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes.
- Perform other HR-related tasks as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of HR or administrative experience (fresh graduates with internship experience are welcome).
- Experience in retail, beauty, or service-oriented industry is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Willing to be assigned in stores or field as needed.
