About the Role

Our client, a U.S.-based financial services firm, is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, reporting, and compliance for its Manila-based shared services team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in accounting standards, leadership ability, and experience managing cross-border reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippines tax regulations and U.S. GAAP/IFRS.
  • Supervise month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partner with U.S. headquarters finance team to support consolidated reporting.
  • Implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to strengthen financial governance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of accountants.
  • Support external audits, regulatory filings, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
  • CPA license is mandatory.
  • 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippines Taxation, GAAP, and IFRS; U.S. GAAP exposure is a plus.
  • Prior experience in financial services, shared services, or multinational firms preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
