About the Role

Elite Translations is building a pool of highly skilled freelance interpreters to support diverse projects and events across various industries. Assignments may range from corporate meetings, training sessions, and seminars to conferences, business negotiations, and specialized workshops. We are seeking professionals who can deliver accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate interpretation services across multiple language pairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpretation between assigned language pairs during live events, meetings, or training.
  • Accurately convey the meaning, tone, and intent of the speaker while maintaining professional neutrality.
  • Prepare for assignments by reviewing event agendas, background materials, and terminology provided.
  • Collaborate with clients, project coordinators, and co-interpreters to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and project information.
  • Uphold professional conduct and represent Elite Translations with integrity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an interpreter (simultaneous/consecutive) in corporate, government, medical, technical, or event settings.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other language (e.g., Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish, French, German, Vietnamese, Portuguese, etc.).
  • Strong listening, memory, and communication skills with excellent command of grammar and vocabulary.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in fast-paced environments.
  • Prior experience with interpreting equipment (booths, headsets, microphones) is an advantage.
  • Residency in the Philippines and availability for onsite assignments is preferred.

Engagement Terms

  • This is a freelance, project-based role.
  • Assignments vary in duration (half-day, full-day, multi-day).
  • Rates are discussed and agreed upon per project.
  • Payment is processed upon submission of an official invoice, subject to finance verification.
