Main Purpose of the Job:

On Import, this job is responsible in communicating with internal and external suppliers/customers in order to arrange receipt and transport of goods in the cost effective and efficient manner while ensuring all such activities enhance the customer service objectives of the company. On the Export, this job ensures that the delivery of goods is in accordance in the company high standards of Customer Service at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

IMPORT:

  • Prepares and sends documentary requirements to supplier & forwarder upon receipt of PO/Prof. Invoice
  • Applies Insurance coverage for CFR/CNR/CPT, FOB & Ex-works shipment to Insurance company
  • Inquiries & negotiates rates to forwarder for FOB, FCA, Ex-works and air shipment
  • Provides IED & Sworn Statement to Accounting Payables for L/C opening
  • Monitors availability of shipping schedules to suppliers/forwarders/shipping lines
  • Follow ups for the copies of shipping documents with supplier to check & validates if the details are in order
  • Other tasks that may be assigned

EXPORT:

  • Negotiates rates and inquires shipping schedule upon receipt of shipment details from Marketing
  • Provides shipping schedule to Marketing team and books shipments to shipping lines / forwarders with their preferred shipping schedule
  • Coordinates container inspection to Sanjin
  • Assigns truckers for the container pull out, cargo loading and delivery to port / warehouse
  • Applies Export Insurance coverage to Insurance company
  • Other tasks that may be assigned

IMPORT & EXPORT:

  • Updates Export & Import log sheet and expenses monitoring report
  • Handles claims of complaints or any concerns of customers
  • Provides necessary import & export documents & receipts to Accounts Payable
  • Maintains and stores files of import & export shipments (hard copies of shipping documents & any related documents)
  • Updates performance, productivity and performance evaluation

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Bachelor's/College Degree Graduate in Industrial Engineering, Customs Administration, or any related course
  • With at least 1 year of Import and Export work experience
  • Open to Fresh Graduates
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A solid grasp of import-export operations, experience in logistics, or a relevant role
  • Hardworking and can work under pressure
  • Willing to work beyond the normal working hours
  • Preferably can start Asap
  • Willing to work onsite in Calle Industria, Bagumbayan, Quezon City
  • Amenable for 5-days compressed work week schedule
