Senior Accounting Manager

This role is responsible for the comprehensive management of Financial Reporting and Control processes for a leading Memorial Real Estate Development business which operates nationwide. You will be directly reporting to the Group CFO and will manager at least 18-20 subordinates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting & Closing:

  • Prepares annual Financial Statements.
  • Performs monthly financial statement and tax reporting.
  • Oversees monthly book closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conducts variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast, identifying and explaining causes of deviations. Coordinates with the Regional Finance Office (RFO) for validation and strategic alignment.

Journal Entries & Reconciliations:

  • Reviews and approves journal entries and account reconciliations for the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.
  • Ensures accurate monthly bank reconciliations.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Liaises with internal and external auditors during annual audits and special engagements.
  • Handles compliance-related matters with government agencies such as the BIR and local municipalities, including responding to BIR Letters of Assessment.

ERP System Oversight:

  • Maintains and updates financial modules within the enterprise resource planning systems (SAP & NAV).

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Prepares, consolidates, and analyzes annual budgets and periodic forecasts across all sites.
  • Supports and coordinates with the CFO in long-term financial planning and strategic financial management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience, with at least 5 years in a high-level managerial role in Accounting or Finance.
  • With experience in handling at least 15-20 subordinates
  • Strong leadership and a results-driven personality.

  • Deep expertise in:

  • Financial Reporting

  • Tax Compliance and Reporting
  • Financial Analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP and NAV.
