Essential Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating and obtaining appropriate provider documentation within the medical record for clinical conditions and treatments required for accurate representation of severity of illness, expected risk of mortality and complexity of care of the patient.
  • Exhibiting thorough knowledge of clinical documentation requirements as they relate to the classification systems, MS-DRG or APR-DRG assignments, ICD-10 CM and PCS codes, Coding Guidelines, the clinical conditions and treatment needs of the patient population
  • Facilitating the overall quality and completeness of the clinical documentation to accurately represent the severity, acuity, and risk of mortality profile of the patient being treated.
  • Complete accurate and timely record review to ensure the integrity of documentation compliance. Complete accurate and concise input of data into the client system resulting in accurate metrics. Understands and supports inpatient documentation strategies.
  • Recognizes opportunities for documentation improvement using strong critical-thinking skills. Uses critical thinking and sound judgment in decision making keeping reimbursement considerations in balance with regulatory compliance.
  • Strategically educates members of the patient-care team regarding documentation regulations and guidelines, including attending physicians, allied health practitioners, nursing, and care management. This includes quarterly compliance updates from Medicare.
  • Effectively and appropriately communicates with physicians and other healthcare providers as necessary to ensure appropriate, accurate and complete clinical documentation. Communicates with HIM staff and collaborates with them to resolves discrepancies with DRG assignments and other coding issues.
  • Complete well-timed follow-up case reviews on all concurrent cases with priority given for resolution of those with clinical documentation clarifications
  • Participate in meetings, including feedback on outstanding issues, presentations for educational opportunities and any other needs identified.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Professional Coding Experience in Inpatient encounters
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced working environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a production environment
  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Google workspace.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical codes, coding conventions and rules.
  • Demonstrated experience with coding systems.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.

Certifications (One of the following Required):

  • CCS or CIC or CDIP (advantage but not required)

Willing to wok onsite in Subic or Clark.

Pay: Php80, Php90,000.00 per month
