Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Encoder to join our Diagnostics team. This role involves accurately encoding diagnostic reports—including ultrasound and X-ray results—to ensure proper documentation for patient records, insurance claims, and billing. The ideal candidate should have a healthcare background, preferably as a non-licensed nurse or radiologic technologist, and possess a strong understanding of diagnostic terminology and medical codes. Your attention to detail will be critical in maintaining accurate and reliable records that support high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate Encoding: Review and encode diagnostic results from the Diagnostics department with precision.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff to verify the accuracy and completeness of diagnostic reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all encoded information adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Clarification: Communicate with healthcare providers to resolve ambiguities or fill in missing information for accurate documentation.
  • Record Management: Keep organized and accessible records of encoded reports and related documentation.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate of BS in Radiology /under board RadTech.
  • Previous experience in a clinic-based setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with diagnostic terminology and procedures.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in report review and data entry.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Can start immediately.
