Procurement Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services in line with the company's requirements, ensuring accuracy in purchase orders, sourcing qualified suppliers, managing delivery schedules, and implementing cost control strategies to achieve savings. This role demands a keen attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work efficiently with suppliers and internal departments to meet organizational needs
Duties and Responsibilities:
Efficient Procurement
- Prepare and place purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, and pricing.
- Monitor and track purchase orders to maintain a smooth, error-free procurement process.
- Aim for a high Purchase Order Accuracy Rate to minimize errors and rework.
Sourcing of Suppliers
- Source qualified and reliable suppliers as required by the company.
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate for the best prices, terms, and conditions.
- Track supplier sourcing metrics to meet company goals.
Delivery Management & Control
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Implement control measures to prevent delays and delivery errors.
- Monitor on-time delivery and completion rates to maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Cost Control
- Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality and service.
- Track cost savings generated through procurement initiatives.
- Achieve an optimal balance between cost efficiency and product/service quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain-related roles.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and vendor management.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High ethical standards and sound decision-making abilities.
- Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
