External Innovation Scientist

What you'll be doing:
As an External Innovation Scientist, you'll play a key role in bringing fresh, trend-driven ideas to life. You'll manage the full formula development process—from concept to launch—by working closely with external partners and internal teams. Your work will help deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable innovations that align with Avon's global strategy and meet the needs of our international markets.
What you'll be working on:
- Developing and assessing cosmetic product formulas in collaboration with external vendors
- Supporting product testing, claims substantiation, and regulatory compliance
- Managing multiple projects while ensuring timely delivery and high standards
- Documenting formula specifications and ensuring they meet cost, quality, and manufacturing requirements
- Staying updated on global regulatory and environmental standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, QA, and more
What we're looking for:
- A degree in Chemistry or a related technical field
- At least 1 year of experience in product development, ideally in cosmetics or consumer goods
- Strong communication and project management skills
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
- Technical knowledge in formula development and quality assurance
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a passion for innovation
