Overall purpose, duties and responsibilities of the role:

The Quality Business Senior Manager is responsible for the design and execution of initiatives focused on improving and maintaining high levels of policy retention. The role involves analyzing persistency trends and coordinating with Agency & Bancassurance Sales, Distribution Strategy & Support, Data & Analytics, Customer Experience, Operations and Actuarial to implement detailed and targeted interventions designed to minimize policy lapses and cancellations. Anchored within the Distribution Strategy function, this role plays a critical part in improving customer retention, maximizing renewal premiums, and ensuring persistency targets are achieved across all distribution channels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Persistency Improvement Strategy


• Develop short-term and long-term strategies focused on reducing lapse rates across all lines of business


• Design and execute persistency improvement plans aligned with sales objectives. Identify high-risk segments/branches and coordinate targeted outreach.


• Identify trends and best practices in persistency management and incorporate these into our initiatives in measuring and improving results.

  1. Data Analysis & Reporting


• Define persistency metrics for EWA. Develop and generate regular reports for senior management with analysis and actionable insights to drive interventions and decision-making.


• Segment policyholder/sales data to identify at-risk customer groups and distribution team behaviors that impact persistency


• Analyze root causes of low persistency and recommend corrective actions.


• Report status and actions to committees and to Manco level.

  1. Quality Business Sales Integration


• Work closely with sales teams, sales leaders, financial consultants/advisors and channel partners to embed quality business mindset and persistency goals into day-to-day sales practices.


• Support the achievement of both new business and renewal revenue targets.

  1. Incentive Program Support


• Work with Distribution Strategy & Support Head in structuring Bancassurance and Agency compensation, incentives and allowances programs tied to persistency and customer retention KPIs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:


• University graduate is a must


• With more than 5-year work experience


• With at least 5 years' working experience in a persistency/quality business management role, within the insurance industry


• In-depth understanding of life insurance products, policyholder lifecycle and distribution operations


• Good knowledge of agency and bancassurance operations is required


• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills


• Pro-active and results-driven
