Internal Audit Specialist

The position is primarily responsible for execution of audit plan, preparation of reports and communication of audit result to clients and responsible for providing recommendation to address audit findings.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform comprehensive and risk-based internal audits of various departments and functions within the bank. This includes assessing the adequacy of internal controls, evaluating the accuracy and reliability of financial information, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Identify and assess potential risks and control weaknesses within the bank's operations. Develop and implement audit plans and strategies based on the risk assessment to mitigate identified risks.
  3. Monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Stay updated with regulatory changes and communicate any new requirements to the appropriate stakeholders. Ensure that internal processes and controls are in line with regulatory expectations.
  4. Prepare detailed audit findings and recommendations based on the audit work performed. Communicate audit results to management and relevant stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern, control deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Track and monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  2. Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  3. Working knowledge of audit processes and standards, including risk assessment approaches, methodologies, and techniques, is an advantage
  4. Strong project and time management skills
  5. Willing to travel and perform fieldwork
  6. Willing to work in Bacoor, Cavite
