About the role

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Internal Accountant to join the finance team at Charles Michael Enterprises. This full-time role is based in Bacoor City, Cavite and will be responsible for handling all aspects of the company's financial accounting and reporting requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the all accounting transactions, including bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, profit/loss statements and cash flow statements
  • Auditing financial documents and procedures and publish financial statements in time
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations
  • Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
  • Provide support and guidance to other members of the finance team

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting industry
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient in using spreadsheet applications
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
  • Non- CPA, butAdditional certification (CPA) is a plus
