JOB DESCRIPTION:

The QA Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of products during receiving, storage, and distribution. This role verifies that goods are correctly counted, meet established quality standards, and are stored and handled in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines. The QA Officer works closely with the warehouse and quality teams to maintain accurate inventory records and guarantee that products are delivered in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Inspection: Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments by counting and inspecting goods to ensure they meet specified quality and quantity standards.
  • Quality Control: Identify defects, damages, or inconsistencies in products to ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
  • Inventory Tracking: Maintain precise inventory records, updating systems with accurate product data and quantities.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and verify necessary documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments, including receipts, packing lists, and shipping records.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to ensure proper storage and handling in line with food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Uphold standards related to food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and sanitation throughout all handling and storage processes.
  • Reporting: Communicate discrepancies, damaged goods, or quality concerns to appropriate departments for timely resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in production/commissary, inventory control, or quality assurance, preferably within the food & beverage or manufacturing industries.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with Asian cuisine, particularly Japanese.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP), NMIS and FDA regulations, storage requirements, and sanitation protocols.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong accuracy in inspecting and documenting.
  • Basic math skills for quantity verification.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer tools.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous record-keeping.
