About the role

This is a full-time Safety Officer 2 role at Net Pacific, Inc. located in Manila City Metro Manila. As a Safety Officer 2, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of the company's construction projects and operations. This is a pivotal role that contributes directly to the overall success and wellbeing of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
  • Implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures and training programs to promote a strong safety culture
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, and proposing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Collaborating with project managers and contractors to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution
  • Maintaining comprehensive safety records and documentation
  • Providing safety guidance and support to all employees
  • Delivering safety training and toolbox talks to educate the workforce

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of applicable health, safety and environmental regulations, standards and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to think critically, identify risks and implement proactive safety measures
  • Proficient in conducting safety inspections, incident investigations and data analysis
  • Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred
  • Experience in construction project management is an advantage
