Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator (Civil) to join our client's team. This role is responsible for overseeing the civil estimating process, ensuring all cost estimates, tenders, and bid packages are accurate, detailed, and compliant with company and client requirements. You'll play a vital part in supporting project delivery by preparing tenders, analyzing technical documents, evaluating subcontractor quotes, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee civil estimates and tender submissions, ensuring accurate cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and timelines.
- Analyze construction drawings, design documents, and specifications to determine project costs and identify risks or opportunities.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and material supplier quotations, ensuring alignment with project scope.
- Recommend cost-reduction strategies and value engineering solutions for more competitive proposals.
- Prepare and respond to RFIs and clarifications from clients and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, commercial, and pre-contract obligations in all tender submissions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the estimating team, sharing best practices and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Civil Estimator or in a similar role.
- Experience in the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Strong ability to interpret contractual documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis, cost breakdowns).
- Demonstrated experience in tender preparation, cost estimation, and schedule compilation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client coordination skills.
- Experience supporting remote or fly-in fly-out projects is an advantage.
- Willing to work in the office full-time at Arcovia City, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City. (Monday - Friday, 7AM to 4PM)
