Clinic Supervisor

The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinic to ensure smooth, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care services. This role includes supervising clinical and administrative staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing patient flow, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and handling operational logistics such as scheduling, inventory, and patient satisfaction.
The Clinic Supervisor acts as a liaison between providers, staff, patients, and management to foster a collaborative and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise, train, and evaluate clinical and administrative staff.
- Schedule staff and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
- Facilitate team meetings and maintain open communication channels.
- Address performance issues and support professional development.
2. Operational Management
- Ensure smooth daily clinic operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and flow.
- Monitor and improve clinic efficiency and patient throughput.
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and inventory within budget.
- Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
3. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies.
- Implement and monitor infection control procedures.
- Participate in audits, quality control, and continuous improvement programs.
4. Patient Services & Satisfaction
- Respond to patient complaints and resolve service issues effectively.
- Promote excellent customer service among all staff.
- Monitor and improve patient satisfaction metrics.
5. Administrative Duties
- Assist in budget planning and expense control.
- Prepare and maintain reports on staff productivity, patient volume, etc.
- Coordinate with billing and insurance departments as needed.
- Support onboarding of new providers or services.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
- Associate degree with relevant experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of clinic operations, insurance procedures, and patient services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Conflict resolution and team-building skills.
