Watchman

Job Summary:

The Watchman is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff, patients, and visitors at the clinic premises. This includes monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, reporting suspicious activities, and ensuring that the clinic property and assets are protected during and after working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the clinic premises.
• Ensure the safety and security of the clinic's staff, patients, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Report any suspicious activity, security threats, or safety hazards immediately to the appropriate authorities or supervisor.
• Ensure that all doors, windows, and gates are securely locked after working hours.
• Assist in handling emergency situations such as fire, theft, or medical emergencies.
• Maintain a daily log of security-related incidents and activities.
• Enforce clinic rules and regulations related to safety and security.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, where applicable.
• Check visitors and delivery personnel at entry points and guide them appropriately.
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Ensure proper lighting in and around the clinic, especially at night.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum High School Certificate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a security or watchman role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Ability to stay alert and observant for long periods.
• Good physical condition to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
