IT Logistics Assistant

MAJOR FUNCTION:

The principal purpose of the position is to assist in the administration of TV5 Network Inc.'s inventory system by receiving and issuing assets, assigning property numbers, maintaining associated property records in the company's asset management system, participating in scheduled/periodic inventories and disposing of assets.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that all goods received are unpacked, validated and entered to the company's Logistics Management System and ready for onward transfer to TV5 customers in accordance with performance standards.

  • Affixes inventory tags to designated assets and equipment and replace tags when damaged.

  • Ensures inventory tags are used in sequential order to avoid duplicates or breaks in numerical order.

  • Maintain perpetual inventory records in the asset management system by gathering data, completing required forms/logs, and entering, deleting and correcting inventory records and accountability tracker of all assets.

  • Assist in the returns procedure in respect to identified discrepancies in deliveries against purchaser orders.

  • Maintain specified central stock held equipment ensuring security, accuracy, and validity of same including optimum levels and condition to ensure maintenance of customer service.

  • Assist the Logistics and Asset Manager to identify and implement opportunities to integrate and streamline the operation of the Logistics and Asset Management department.

  • Generate reports for presentation to the IT Logistics Manager.

  • Prepare Clearance of resigned employee/s.

  • Prepare Requests for Payment for repair and purchase of IT assets.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by his/her immediate
