Job Summary
The Mortgage Systems Administrator plays a key role in maintaining, configuring, and enhancing the Loan Origination System (LOS). This position combines technical expertise with mortgage industry experience to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of system processes that support daily business functions. The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders to identify optimization opportunities, implement changes, and ensure reliable system performance across the mortgage operations environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business units to identify and implement process improvements through configuration and maintenance of input forms, business rules, major releases, loan programs, eFolder settings, disclosures, HMDA support, investor suspense requests, DMI export, servicing transfers, warehouse data tapes, and loan archiving strategies.
- Evaluate the LOS system, integrations, and business workflows to drive operational efficiency and process automation.
- Design, configure, and deploy approved system changes including updates to LOS settings, input forms, and business rules.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to system functionality and integration performance.
- Ensure project timelines are met and progress is documented within the project management system.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices related to LOS platforms and mortgage technology.
- Coordinate with technical and product teams to manage incoming requests, system updates, and releases.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex inquiries and troubleshooting requests from support teams.
- Validate updates and configuration changes to prevent adverse system impacts and ensure platform stability.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Ellie Mae Encompass Administration or similar LOS administration.
- At least 5 years of experience creating and managing Input Forms and Business Rules within Encompass/LOS.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
- Encompass Administrator Certification required.
- Familiarity with Encompass Web preferred.
- Strong understanding of the loan lifecycle from origination to servicing and secondary markets.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate lending regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage effectively across departments.
