YOUR ROLE:

• Oversee and manage the operations of the General Ledger and Management Accounting organization.
• Ensure realization of service delivery objectives within set guidelines and policies.
• Supervise 2-5 Team Leads who directly report to this position, managing an approximate team of 40+ members.
• Manage operations while closely collaborating with sub-ledger teams to provide comprehensive accounting services for the region.
• Provide internal customers with financial data and reports.
• Manage accounting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure the team completes the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS during the closing process.
• Perform analysis, (pre-)audit tasks, and account reviews.
• Participate in decisions related to support on transformation projects, including resource allocation for project requirements.
• Act as the main contact for the transformation team regarding operational process discussions and project activities.
• Handle second-level escalations and perform client management activities, including SLA reporting on team performance.
• Advocate for process improvements within the area and propose and implement ideas to achieve efficiencies.
• Leverage expertise to seek better ways of performing processes, contributing to process excellence initiatives.
• Support operational performance reporting activities.
• Ensure qualification, motivation, and development of team leaders and team members.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting or a related field is required.
• Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or CPA license is preferred.
• 6-8 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting and Management Accounting operations in a management position.
• Strong background in US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience in handling projects and transitions/migrations.
• Proven track record of building and organizing teams.
• Profound accounting knowledge is required.
• Experience within a Shared Services Center is preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems; experience managing teams with legacy or non-SAP/Oracle systems is also preferred.
• Fluent English language skills are required.
