Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will manage the end-to-end accounts payable process-from invoice processing and reconciliation to supplier communication and compliance. Your expertise ensures financial accuracy, smooth operations, and efficient workflow within a dynamic, technology-driven construction company.

The Qualifications We Seek

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable
• Familiarity with Aroflo, Dext, and Xero preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Your Daily Tasks

• Manage the workflow of invoices from receipt, matching, and integration into the accounting system.
• Ensure accurate coding of all invoices.
• Verify that payments authorized by employees are within the Delegation of Authority for approval and expenditure.
• Close old purchase orders in the system.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Complete end-of-month processes and related reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve queries or discrepancies.
• Process company credit card transactions and resolve related queries or discrepancies.
• Ensure all accounts payable invoices comply with Goods and Services Tax (GST) legislation.
• Monitor and act on items in the accounts payable inbox.
• Set up new suppliers in the accounting system.
• Verify and maintain supplier details in the system.
• Perform filing and general accounts administration tasks.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
